FNMA, ANSI and UAD 3.6 (Update 2026)

When:
Part 1: Thursday, Jan. 22nd, 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PST
Part 2: Thursday, Jan. 29th, 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PST
Presented By: Richard Hagar, SRA
FNMA’s ANSI requirements have been around for more than three years and still some appraisers are not measuring houses correctly. Improper measurements have been tolerated, but that is about to change. The new computer system will analyze appraisals for compliance with ANSI, and how square footage must be listed going forward.
FNMA has updated their ANSI requirements and rendered it even more critical as the UAD 3.6 goes into effect. As macho TV commercials often state, “Failure is not an option.”
This updated webinar will go over the basics AND include the new UAD 3.6 requirements.
This webinar will cover:
• What FNMA, Freddie Mac, FHA and VA (the GSEs) will require for the UAD 3.6.
• Details regarding structure, including ceiling heights, ceiling type, front door height, etc.
• The increased separation of finished, unfinished, attached, detached, out-buildings, and ADUs.
• Where to include sketches in your appraisal report.
• Certain disclosures that MUST be included in your report.
• And more!
Not only is this a refresher course, it will also explain how square footage must be shown in the UAD 3.6.
